Overview A comprehensive UI/UX redesign of the mobile application for CESC Limited, India’s first fully integrated electrical utility. This project focuses on modernizing the digital experience for millions of consumers, transforming a traditional utility service into a seamless, user-centric digital product.
Design Challenge The primary goal was to overhaul the existing interface to support a "digital-first" approach, addressing complex user needs such as multi-account management, real-time power outage tracking, and bill payments, while ensuring the app remained accessible to a diverse demographic.
Key Features & Solutions
Intuitive Dashboard: Designed a clean, data-rich dashboard that provides users with an immediate snapshot of their consumption history, payment status, and due dates.
Enhanced Personalization: Introduced Light and Dark modes to improve visual comfort and accessibility for users in different environments.
Streamlined Navigation: Simplified the information architecture to allow users to manage up to 5 different accounts and access key services like "One-Touch" outage reporting and new connection applications with minimal clicks.
Visual Modernization: Moved away from cluttered layouts to a spacious, minimalist aesthetic that prioritizes readability and ease of use for critical tasks like bill payments and history tracking.
Outcome The redesign delivers a robust, future-ready mobile interface that enhances customer engagement, reduces support friction, and aligns the visual identity with modern mobile standards.
